ColdFusionWeb development is hard work, and don’t let anyone tell you any different!!!!
Ok, maybe I should restate that, CORRECT web development is
hard work. I came to this realization
when working on two of my side projects this weekend. I guess I have always known it was hard work,
but when I do development at work as my job I guess I just don’t notice how
much time it takes up. I have to be at
work anyway right? Might as well
work. But when you are at home doing
development on your own time you really begin to notice how much time it
takes.
Sure I could just slap some procedural code together for
theses projects and call them done, but I want to do them right you know? OO design, CFCs, all that good stuff and lets
face it, creating bean, gateway and DAO objects takes time right?? However that time doesn’t always translate
into what the end user will see in a project which is a bit frustrating.
Oh well, I shall carry on inspired buy others like Dave Shuck, Aaron Lynch, Ray Camden and Ben Nadel. Someday I’ll have something worth sharing!
