Have you ever?

Off Topic

Have you ever had a Kirby salesman stop by your house and demo their product?  That is one sweet vacuum.  We were totally sold until they showed us the price.  Who would honestly pay $2,495, PLUS tax for a vacuum?

Oh well, nice clean hallway out of the deal, vacuumed and shampooed.

Good Day,
Ryan

We did the same thing. After the salesman left I looked them up on ebay and they were significantly less.

We have two Kirby vacuums. The first one was a hand-me-down from the in-laws. The second we purchased a couple years ago from a Kirby dealer. We bought it used, for $500, with a no-interest-financing deal, just by talking with the owner.

One interesting thing about buying new... If you hold on to the original paperwork to show you're the one who bought new, for something like $150 you can have the machine factory refurbished to like-new quality, no matter how old it is.

Sorry to sound like a Kirby commercial... They are the best vacuums out there.

I have not doubt they are best vacuum out there. It sounds like we were very lucky with our sales person. Some other people have had bad experiences.

Our presentation started at about 4:30pm and ended shortly after 6:30pm. Probably only because we had company show up.

They do show up on eBay for less. Cheaper than some Dyson models.
