It's a great weekend to stop and give thanks. Thank you to my great grandfather and my grandpa. Thank you to my father, my uncle and my brother. I am humbled by you and proud of you all. I am even more proud to share the same last name. Thank you to all those who have served before, who are serving now and that will serve in the future. It is because of all you that I am able to raise my family in the land of the free and the home of the brave. I will fly my flag this weekend in tribute to you all.
I'll also take this time to say thank you to Sgt. Jamie Maugans a close friend who gave his life defending this country. Thank you Jamie!

I am humbled by your message. And, I too am so thankful to those that came before us and especially those veterans today who are out there putting their lives on the line for us and this nation. I am so thankful to live in this country and to have been given the privilige to serve this nation as I did. This may sound corny, but except for my family, the chance to serve was the greatest blessing I could ever hope for.

PS We, for sure, cannot forget one other veteran in this family. Corporal Betty Qualheim Everhart USMC. Without her, where would we all be?????????? Tougher than all of us put together!!
